The Story#
A long, long time ago, the Goddess Sanshengmu lived on Mount Hua. She had a magical Lotus Lantern.
Sanshengmu fell in love with a mortal scholar. They married and had a cute little boy named Chenxiang.
But Sanshengmu’s brother, the god Erlang, was very angry: “How can a goddess marry a mortal!”
Erlang pressed Sanshengmu under Mount Hua and took away the Lotus Lantern.
Chenxiang grew up with his father. When he grew older, his father told him: “Your mother is pressed under Mount Hua. You must save her!”
Chenxiang decided to save his mother.
He found a great immortal to teach him martial arts. Chenxiang practiced and practiced until he mastered great skills.
Chenxiang came to Mount Hua and fought with Erlang.

Chenxiang fought braver and braver, finally defeating Erlang and taking back the Lotus Lantern.
Chenxiang raised his magic axe and struck at Mount Hua—

Mount Hua split open, and Sanshengmu was finally saved!
