The Story
#

A long, long time ago, in Greek mythology, there was a handsome sun god named Apollo.

Apollo was the son of Zeus. He was very handsome, with golden hair that shone brightly.

Every morning, Apollo drove his golden sun chariot, rising from the east.

“Rumble!”

The sun chariot crossed the sky, bringing light and warmth to the earth.

Apollo had many talents: he could play the lyre beautifully, his music was enchanting; he was an excellent archer, his aim always true; he could also see the future and knew what would happen.

One day, a giant serpent was causing trouble in a valley, hurting many small animals.

Apollo found out, picked up his bow and arrows, and found the serpent.

“Whoosh!”

Apollo shot the serpent with one arrow, protecting the animals in the valley.

Everyone thanked Apollo and called him the “God of Light.”

Apollo also taught people to play instruments, sing, and heal the sick. He was one of the most loved gods.

Little friends, the sun rises every day, just like Apollo driving his sun chariot, bringing us light!
