A long, long time ago, in the far north, there was a father of all gods named Odin.

Odin was the most powerful god in Norse mythology. He had only one eye and rode an eight-legged horse.

He was very wise and knew many things.

One day, Odin heard about a Well of Wisdom. Drinking from it would make someone super wise.

The guardian of this well was Mimir, a very wise giant.

Odin came to the Well of Wisdom and said: “I want to drink from the well.”

Mimir said: “You can, but you must pay a price.”

“What price?” Odin asked.

“One of your eyes,” Mimir said.

Odin thought about it. To gain wisdom, he was willing to pay this price.

He took out one of his eyes and threw it into the well.

Then, he drank from the well.

“Gulp! Gulp!”

Suddenly, Odin knew all the secrets of the world! He knew what had happened in the past and what would happen in the future.

From then on, Odin became the wisest god.

Little friends, Odin paid a great price to gain wisdom. This story teaches us: knowledge is precious, and we should study hard!
