The Story
#

A long, long time ago, in Norse mythology, there was a goddess of love and beauty named Freya.

She was very beautiful and wore a beautiful golden necklace called Brísingamen.

The necklace sparkled like the stars in the sky.

One day, the god Loki saw the necklace and wanted it.

Loki went to Freya and said: “Give me the golden necklace!”

Freya said: “No! It’s my precious possession!”

Loki was angry. He decided to steal it.

Loki turned himself into a fly and flew into Freya’s room.

Freya was sleeping. Loki flew down and took the golden necklace.

“Whoosh!”

Loki flew away with the necklace.

Freya woke up and found her necklace was gone!

She was heartbroken. She went to Odin, the father of the gods.

“Someone stole my golden necklace!” Freya cried.

Odin asked: “Who stole it?”

Freya said: “I don’t know.”

Odin sent his servants to find the thief.

Finally, they found Loki. Loki had to return the golden necklace to Freya.

Freya was happy to get her necklace back.

Little friends, stealing is not good. We should respect other people’s belongings.
