The Story

A long, long time ago, in Egyptian mythology, there was a god named Horus.

He was the god of the sky and the son of Osiris.

Horus had a special eye called the Eye of Horus.

The Eye of Horus was very powerful. It could see everything.

One day, Horus fought with his uncle Seth.

Seth was a bad god who wanted to be king.

They fought a big battle.

Seth hurt Horus’s eye!

The eye was broken into pieces.

But the Eye of Horus was magical. It could heal itself.

The pieces came back together.

The eye was whole again.

The Egyptians believed the Eye of Horus could protect them.

They put the Eye of Horus on their tombs and temples.

They also used it in their writing.

The Eye of Horus became a symbol of protection and healing.

When people were sick, they would ask for the Eye of Horus’s help.

Little friends, the Eye of Horus was a powerful symbol. It taught people to be brave and protect themselves.
