The Story#
A long, long time ago, on the African savanna, there was a clever little rabbit.
One day, an elephant and a hippo were arguing about who was stronger.
“I’m the strongest!” the elephant said. “No, I’m the strongest!” the hippo said.
They argued back and forth, neither would give in.
The little rabbit heard them and said: “Let me be the judge. I’ll see who’s stronger!”
He tied one end of a rope to the elephant and the other end to the hippo.
“Pull toward me!” the rabbit said. “Whoever pulls the other to me wins!”
The elephant pulled toward the forest, and the hippo pulled toward the river.
They pulled and pulled, but neither could move the other!
“You’re both equally strong!” the rabbit announced.
The elephant and the hippo were both satisfied and stopped arguing.
Actually, the rabbit had tied the rope to a big tree!
The elephant and the hippo were both pulling the tree, so of course neither could move.
The little rabbit used his wisdom to solve the problem. Everyone praised him for being smart!
Little friends, the clever rabbit teaches us: wisdom is more powerful than strength!
What the Story Teaches Us#
